Building work at Oasis Academy Warndon becomes a learning experience for pupils

Oasis Academy Warndon’s new pre-school and nursery expansion project is now well under way, with the groundwork complete and steel structure being put into place. With cranes and cherry pickers on site, the academy didn’t miss this opportunity to use it is as a learning experience for the children to be able to see what happens on a building site.

With the build happening right outside the current pre-school and nursery classroom windows, the children have been so excited to see work happening and while the steels were being erected, the academy staff took them a little closer to have a good look.

Suzanne Owen, Principal at Oasis Academy Warndon, commented saying; "It is fantastic to see the progression of building work and our vision coming alive. It has been amazing to see how keen our Early Explorers are to learn about the machinery used"

The new build is set to be completed in April 2022, with two large new classrooms enabling additional nursery and pre-school places for children aged 2-4.
