A ‘clear vision’ as new principal is appointed at Oasis Academy Warndon

Suzanne Owen has officially taken up the post of Principal at Oasis Academy Warndon and has a clear vision to continue to drive the academy with the equal amount of passion and dedication as former principal, Emily Hobson who has taken up a national role with in the Multi-Academy Trust family.

Suzanne began her began her career in Birmingham in September 1996 and has worked in a variety of schools over the last 25 years around Worcester, and joined the Oasis Academy Warndon family in 2015 where she joined as a Phase Leader over Lower KS2, and has been lucky enough to lead on many areas with a special interest in SEND and Inclusion, and the development of the hub provision.

Suzanne Owen, Principal at Oasis Academy Warndon, commented saying; “I am honoured to have been appointed Principal at Oasis Academy Warndon, which over the last few years has a growing reputation for its dedication to excellence, but more importantly, to the children.”

“I joined the academy in September 2015 as part of the wider leadership team. I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey we, as a school, have been on with the academy and extremely excited about the future! The school and hub have such a dedicated, hardworking team where children are at the heart of everything that is done.”

“My goal is to ensure that all children are healthy, happy, and safe, so they reach their full potential. This has been my philosophy throughout my teaching career and one that I think is captured by the academy vision statement of Happy Hearts, Enquiring Minds and Promising futures. I relish the opportunity of serving the community and leading team as Principal of Oasis Academy Warndon.”

Mrs Owen loves to run, walking her dogs and does yoga to keep fit. Live music is also a passion and she enjoys watching bands and vocalists.

Her career shows commitment to ensuring every child gets the support they need to make great progress.
