Symptoms

Most people with coronavirus have at least 1 of these symptoms (nhs.co.uk):
  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back.
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Pupils must not come into the academy if they have symptoms, and will be sent home to self-isolate if they develop symptoms during the academy day. You will then need to book a test for them as soon as possible.

We have spoken to the Elbury Moor Medical Centre today and they have clarified that they are giving the following advice:
  • If a has child any of the symptoms they will need to book a test.
  • If a parent is unable to book a test they are advising the child with the symptoms to self-isolate for 10 days and the holdhold to self-isolate for 14 days.

Children will not be able to return to the acadmey earlier that this without a negative test result.

Learning at home: There are two week timetables available for children self-isolating here,
