Community Hub
Oasis Hubs
The exceptional education we offer is a starting point for providing so much more within our Hubs and communities. We believe that this wider inclusive experience is not only an important feature of our Academies, it is the unique selling point of Oasis Community Learning. The purpose of the 'Hub' is to serve the whole person and the whole community. A whole person is someone who is flourishing: socially, physically, emotionally, spiritually, educationally, environmentally and morally.
Our vision is encapsulated by the following five statements:
- a passion to include everyone
- a desire to treat everyone equally, respecting differences
- a commitment to healthy and open relationships
- a deep sense of hope that things can change and be transformed
- a sense of perseverance to keep going for the long haul
On Wednesday 24th January 2018 The Mayor of Worcester, Mayoress of Worcester and Local Councillor cut the ribbon and officially opened the doors to our Community Hub. As many of us are aware what once was the caretakers bungalow has now been transformed into a beautiful hub which can be enjoyed by whole local community.

A warm welcome to you all from our Family and Community Support Worker!
Hello everybody!
My name is Fay Osborne I am the Community Hub & Family Support worker here at Oasis Academy Warndon.
It’s been brilliant meeting many of the children and adults during school drop off and collection times. I hope to meet many more of you in person over the coming weeks and months. If you recognise me from my picture please do come over and say hello. It’s also a perfect time for you to pop and see me as we are right at the start of planning what could happen in the hub. I want to make sure that what we do here benefits you and your family as well as the wider community, so please do come and tell me what you would like to see going on, and then together we can look at what we can make happen!
You might just like to come along and have a chat or ask for advice, I can help to put you in touch with other services operating in the area too. For others you might like to get more involved and come along to a workshop or activity with your children. And finally if we want big things to happen here I can’t do everything alone, therefore I am on the lookout for volunteers. Roles will be very varied and could include jobs in our garden, helping to welcome people to the hub, making refreshments and supporting at events to name but a few! Volunteering can be so rewarding as well as being useful to place on any job or course applications, so it’s worth considering. If you would like to ask me about becoming a volunteer at the hub why not pop along to my volunteering drop in. Dates for this as well as other ‘hub happenings’ can be seen below.
I will be based in the community hub, my working days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Pop by to say hello! If the gate door is locked please do ask for me at reception or leave me a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
In the meantime please check out the school display board at the Edgeworth close school entrance where information will be displayed. You can also see what is going on locally by checking out the calendar of events below.
I look forward to welcoming you to the hub sometime very soon!
