If you're looking to join our Nursery or Pre school, here is some important information for you regarding help with fees and funding. If you have any questions about what is included in any of our fees, please fee free to contact us during office hours and we'd be more than happy to help.

Happy Hearts Fees (2 year olds)
The fees are £4.25 per hour for 2-3 year olds, payments are required in advance and can be paid via Parentpay. Fees must still be paid if your child is absent. The Happy Hearts team should be informed as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend and you should inform us when your child will be returning. If your child has to be absent over a long period of time, talk to the Happy Hearts manager. For your child to keep his/her place at Happy Hearts you must pay the fees.
We currently accept 2 year funding in Happy Hearts. If you receive one of the benefits listed below your child may be eligible:Will I receive funding for my child's fees and do you accept?
- Income Support
- Income-based Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Universal Credit (for children born after 01/01/2016 and whose parents on on Universal Credit, their household earnings must be less than £15,400 per year)
- Support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
- The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credits, with an annual household income of no more that £16,190
- Working Tax Credits, with an annual household income of no more that £16,190
- Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (paid for 4 weeks after a family stops qualifying for Working Tax Credits)

How many sessions does the 2 year funding pay for?
Currently, you can claim for eligible 2 year old children fifteen hour per week for 38 weeks of the year. These sessions do not have to be taken at one Child-minder or Nursery provider, but you will have to fill in a ‘Funding Form’ at each setting your child attends and you can only claim for up to 15 hours a week in all. When you fill in a ‘Funding Form’ all this information will be given to you by a member of staff.
Early Explorers Fees (3-4 year olds)
The fees are £4.25 per hour for 3 or 4 year olds with a minimum of 3 hour sessions (within the working hours of 7:30 – 18:00) payments are required in advance. Payments should be made via ParentPay. Fees must still be paid if children are absent. Early Explorers should be informed as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend and you should inform us when your child will be returning. If your child has to be absent over a long period of time, talk to the Early Explorers manager.
Your child will qualify for Government funding of fifteen hours a week the term after their 3rd birthday, any additional sessions will need to be paid for. For your child to keep her/his place at the setting, you must pay the fees. We are in receipt of nursery education funding for three and four year olds; where funding is not received, then fees apply.
Will I receive funding for my child’s fees when they are 3 Years Old?
Because Early Explorers is registered and inspected by Ofsted, we receive funding for all eligible 3 and 4-year olds. When you child is coming up to the term after they are 3 you will be given a ‘Funding Form’ to fill in so Early Explorers can claim funding for your child which is paid directly to us. Along with legislation that comes with the funding we would need to see a copy of your child’s original birth certificate. Any problems, then please see a member of the management staff, who will be happy to help you.

Am I entitled to 30 hours funding?
Working parents may be entitled to 30 hour funding - You, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £125 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage). If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible. You can't get 30 hours free childcare if either you, or your partner, each individually expect to earn £100,000 or more. If you think you may be entitled please use the below button to apply.
