Applying for Free School Meals
If you think you may be entitled to Free School Meals you can apply via Home | LGfL FSM. Alternatively, you can speak to someone in the academy office.
If your application for Free School Meals is successful it will not only allow your child to claim a free hot lunch daily, but will also increase the amount of funding the school is entitled to. We therefore ask you to consider applying even if your child is currently in receipt of Universal Free School Meals (reception-year 2) or if your child brings a packed lunch to school.
If your child is in Key Stage 2 - Years 3, 4, 5 or 6 and would like to have a hot dinner, please book and pay via MCAS.

Packed Lunches
Oasis Academy Warndon operates a healthy eating policy for all students.
Students may bring a packed lunch. Packed lunches should be healthy and nutritionally balanced, in line with our healthy eating policy.
Please note that students are not allowed to bring sweets or fizzy drinks into the Academy at any time in line with the healthy eating policy. Students should bring plain water to drink during the day in labelled bottles - these should be taken home and refilled each day.
The school food standards are intended to help children develop healthy eating habits and ensure that they get the energy and nutrition they need across the whole school day. It is just as important to cook food that looks good and tastes delicious; to talk to children about what is on offer and recommend dishes; to reduce queuing; and to serve the food in a pleasant environment where they can eat with their friends. As a general principle, it is important to provide a wide range of foods across the week. Variety is key – whether it is different fruits, vegetables, grains, pulses or types of meat and fish. Children love to hear the stories behind their food.
